Torpel and Broadwheel’s hard work has definitely paid off! After working hard to organise a variety of stalls and make products to sell, we are pleased to announce that we have made over £300 profit, which we will be donating to the charities: WWF and The Friends of John Clare School.
The children had lots of fun organising their stalls and learnt vital skills, including: using spreadsheets to calculate profit/loss; writing and telephoning local businesses to kindly request donations; ordering resources; making quality products to sell to customers; making persuasive adverts (including jingles to play in our Family Assembly); being organised and working to a deadline; but most important of all…we refined our collaboration skills to work effectively as a team!
We would really like to thank the following companies for their kind donations: Riverside Beads (Market Deeping), Tesco (Werrington/Market Deeping), Morrisons (Stamford), The Friends of John Clare School and Beads Direct
Well done Torpel and Broadwheel!
