Woodgate Tree Planting

Today our Eco parent leaders helped us plant trees near our wildlife area. We planted 6 trees; 2 cherry trees, 2 pear trees and 2 plums trees.

First we dug a deep hole.

Next we hammered in a long wooden stick and measured the tree to see if it would be long enough.

Then we put some soil in the bottom and placed the tree in the hole.

Next we filled in the hole with soil and patted it down.

After that we tied the tree to the stick and put a plastic mesh around the it to make sure it was secure and safe.

Finally we watered the tree.
